QSSI Limited and Quality Sourcing Services, Inc. (“QSSI”) obtains credit reports for the purpose of aiding in the determination of credit-worthiness for those businesses applying for credit with QSSI. These reports are obtained from credit reporting agencies such as Experian, Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, and others, as needed. Typically, credit applications are submitted to QSSI by corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. These applicants are considered to be commercial business entities and few, in any, privacy restrictions on credit information are mandated by U.S or EU countries. QSSI also receives credit applications from businesses that operate under a Sole Proprietor, Sole Trader, or equivalent category. QSSI acknowledges that such businesses are protected under consumer credit protection laws and regulations. QSSI complies with U.S. laws and UE Safe Harbor Framework for consumer credit information protection and privacy. It is with the consumer protection of consumer information that this policy is specifically written but QSSI applies these same practices of information privacy and protection to its commercial credit applications and customers as well.
Personal information and personally identifiable information and personal credit history information that QSSI obtains from consumer credit applications and consumer credit reports are used solely for the purpose of determining the credit-worthiness of the applicant and are not shared to any other party for any other purpose or reason other than when a written lawful order is issued for such information.
QSSI will store such consumer information in either paper or electronic form or both. QSSI maintains a private, on-site, electronic storage and backup network for electronic files and maintains paper files under lock and key in an employee-only location. Access to consumer credit files in either electronic of paper form is further limited to authorized accounting personnel.
Access to and disclosure of the consumer credit reports and the information contained therein shall be disclosed to the consumer (credit applicant) only upon written request and only in accordance with the disclosure policies of the UK Information Commissioner’s Office and the Data Protection Act of 1998.
QSSI Limited is registered in the United Kingdom with the Information Commissioner’s Office in compliance with the Data Protection Act of 1998. QSSI complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries.
